Laura’s new album - The Road to Tpot - marks a bold new chapter in her musical journey. Each track is a glimpse into her evolving sound, sometimes fierce, sometimes tender, always deeply human.
The release weaves together her Celtic roots and global influences, creating music that resonates far beyond borders. "The Road to Tpot" features world class trad musicians and was recorded and produced by Robin Wynn Evans at Tpot Studio. It showcases Laura’s unmistakable voice as a fiddler and composer — weaving slow tunes, driving reels, cinematic textures and deeply evocative melodies into a work that transcends genre boundaries while staying true to her folk roots.
Laura's band will feature guest musicians Conor McDonald, Emiliano Beltzer and Matt Ledgar. There will also be a special performance by Shay O'Sheehan to start the evening off in style.
Laura says about the release, “After 30 years of being a fiddler, it felt about time to finally make an album representing my passion for trad and folk music! The road to Tpot studios in the hills of Scotland symbolised this wildly entwined journey of life and music, adventuring into the world, and coming home again to my roots”.
