Each year during the June long weekend, we come together in Bellingen on the breathtaking traditional lands of the Gumbaynggirr people and surrounded by the UNESCO World Heritage–listed natural beauty that inspires us all. The Festival bursts with contemporary Australian voices, from acclaimed fiction writers and sharp political commentators to powerful First Nations creators, LGBTQI+ storytellers and live performers who light up the stage. But the excitement doesn’t stop there! In the lead-up to the Festival, the Schools Program brings the joy of storytelling to young minds across the Mid North Coast with a week full of interactive and inspiring sessions.
